“Camamoto” is a collaborative project between two conceptual artists: Takayuki Yamamoto lives and works in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan and Hoang Duong Cam, lives and works in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Met during artist-in-residence time in Tokyo, the collaboration started in 2009 with the mutual interests in the performative aspects of each other’s characters and conditions of growing/living, which are resemble yet different in an interestingly twisted way.
The concept of the project is to explore the conceptual possibilities of the performative responses to the resembles of and differences between the two imaginary twin characters in a broad spectrum of influences, physically or psychologically, socially or personally; historically or culturally...
